It's been SO long!

I haven't blogged in forever! I don't really know why. I just never found the time or the desire. I'm going to try and be better!
First off, a funny thing happened two nights ago. Darrin and I were leaving the house to go to dinner. I was out waiting at the car and Darrin asked me to throw him the keys so that he could lock the front door. I threw the keys and they landed on THE ROOF of our house!!! haha. Shows how good I am at throwing! So Darrin climbed on our garbage can, then onto our shed and then onto the roof (in FLIP FLOPS none the less!) to go and get the keys. We both had a good laugh about that one!
Second, tommorrow is our one year anniversary! I can't believe it's been a year. When at the same time it feels like it's been 10! I am so grateful to have such a wonderful husband! During this past year I have had so much fun with him. We went through some trials and are still going through some, but to have him by my side makes all the difference. Some of my fondest memories of this past year include:
-Our Wedding Day (of course! I have so many fond memories of that day! Kind of a strange feeling though to have some words said, you get handed a piece of paper and then vuala- you're married!)
-Our Honeymoon (we went to Peuto Villarta-SO much fun!)
-Swimming with the Dolphins on our honeymoon
-Home Projects (LOTS of them!)
-Dancing in the kitchen
-Singing at the top of our lungs in Darrin's office
-watching Reaper, Prison Break, The Unit, The Office and Alias together (we LOVE to watch TV shows together! And I don't believe it's a waste of time. We get to cuddle while watching them and then contemplate together about "what will happen next?!")
-Mini vacation to St. George
-Reading our Patriarchal Blessings together (we do this about every four months or so and I read his aloud and he reads mine aloud)
-Mini vacation to Park City
-Our first married Christmas (which was a lot of fun!)
-Vacation to Arizona to visit Brent & Kat and Tiff & Adam
-One night we stayed up talking in bed until 3:30am about childhood memories
-Going to the temple together
-Romantic evenings
-Darrin brought me home Cadburry Eggs and Dove Chocolate one night (MY FAVORITE!!!)
-Darrin wrote me some really cute letters
-Darrin made me a website for the salon (www.StrikingImageSalon.com) It was a COMPLETE surprise!!! The first website he's ever made!
-Reading Scriptures together and Darrin is SO knowledgable!
-Reading Darrin's letters to home from his mission
-We had a Brazillian dinner here at our house cooked by Darrin and his friends Tom&Juliana (Brazillian)
-Starting businesses together (that includes brainstorming)
-I LOVE the times when Darrin did the dishes or cleaned up without me asking him to

These are just a few of the memories that I have. If I were to write them ALL that'd take forever!!! But I just want Darrin to know that I love him SO much and I feel so lucky to have him now and forever! It's been a wonderful first year!

Sniff, sniff! That was SO cute!!!

It reminded me a lot of my first married year to read about yours. Nothin' like the first Christmas, or those sweet spontaneous moments when hubby cleans up w/o being asked, or brings little surprises... My favorite was the first time he totally cleaned the kitchen & had *dinner* ready for *me* when I came home from a long afternoon of teaching.
I wish I'd known it was your anniversary so I could congratulate you today... Oh well. CONGRATS!!!

Trisha,
I loved this blog. I loved your mission letter idea, your childhood memories (I hope you remembered the more positive ones of me), the discussions after you watch an episode of T.V., the singing in the office (although I’m not sure I can see Dan doing this one).
The dancing-in0the-kitchen reminds me of what Dan and I try to do in the morning. I have a special playlist on youtube for dancing in the kitchen.
About the keys-=on-the-roof…well, I’ think I’ll pass on that idea.
I’m so proud of you and the effort you put into your relationship with Darrin and how you support him.
Way to go girl. You continue to be beautiful inside and out.
Love,
Mom/sis
