More parade of homes stuff!

puzzle pieces on the wall for decor. It was actually pretty cool.
Orange paint. Who would have thought? This was a surfing themed room with a big poster hung from the ceiling to the wall. Nice.
Blue room. The paint looked nice. A blanket is hung on the wall from wall to wall.
WOWEEE! This room was overkill but SWEET! haha. Zebra painted ceiling, zebra entry way to the room, pink paint, pink carpet.
The bathroom to the zebra pink room
This bed has rustic metal pieces on the wall. This is a boy's skateboarding room.
These skateboards are hung on the wall as shelves
They hung a small mirror above the kitchen sink. And had plants surrounding the sink.
HUGE closet as you can see. One day...one day...
I love the cubbies in the wall!

More Ideas!

This wall is striped but with glossy and non-glossy paint.
This ceiling is crackled. Don't think I've seen that on a ceiling before. It looked really good.
I like how they just hung this material to frame the bed. cute.
This is a tree that was painted on the wall with birds etc. It was really cool.
This is just an old ladder that's pained and roughed up. We have one of those! haha

Parade of Homes...here are some ideas for decorating

We went to the Salt Lake Parade of Homes this year. I saw a lot of decorations that I thought I would share! I'm always looking of ways to update our home or salon, so I found it helpfull to get ideas from these homes. Hope you see something you like!

I love this lamp for a girls room! It would be so easy to get an old lamp from the D.I. and get creative with some paint!
I like stripes! You can do all kinds of sizes and colors!
I haven't ever thought about putting one of these indoors! Kinda neat.
These are actual fish tanks on the wall with real fishes! Way cool and the paintings on the wall are awesome too.
This is not a backboard to the bed. Just a wooden decoration. cool.

Product Diversion

I know the title sounds boring, but I find it really interesting-I hope you do too :) As you know, I am a hair stylist, and I get questions a lot about the hair product that is sold in Target, Walmart, and grocery stores. People ask if the product in these stores is just as good, if it's cheaper, etc. I answer with these same answers, but I just ran across an article today that puts it alot better than I can.

Q: Why shouldn't I buy my products at Target etc.?

A: Products sold anywhere other than a salon or beauty supply have been obtained through the gray market. They may be old, cantaminated, watered down, or a different product than what the bottle says. Manufacturers can only garantee the performance of their products when purchased through an salon or beauty supply. They state this on the back of most professional products "Sold ONLY in professional salons".

Q: They look like th esame products I get in your salon. Wouldn't they be cheaper at the drugstore?

A: No, price check sshow these products to be at least 10 percent higher. Because they have been obtained on the gray market adn not from the manufacturer. Unauthorized suppliers have to make their margin. And diverted products go through more middlemen, each getting a cut.

Q: Why not make haircare products available at retail and drug stores?

A: Professional salon products have been developed hand-in-hand with professional stylists. Your hairdresser can make educated product recommendations for your hair type and hair needs and can show you how to properly use them.

So, there are the answers. If you still feel comfortable about buying the products from Target etc, then I'm not going to stop you. I just thought you might find it interesting :)

I held him to the promise:) He was my model and we did lot's of fun stuff. Here's some pictures. Isn't he HOT?!??!!!! I love you Darrin!
